WinVis 5.0 Build 152 Update

 

Minimum Requirements:  WinVis 5.0 Build 106  (Build 119 for Windows XP/2000)

 

Windows XP/2000 users must have previously installed WinVis 5.0 Build 119 or higher from a CD.

 

Network tester users must upload all Field Testers to the server before updating to WinVis 5.0 Build 152. Due to diverse computer operating systems and browser versions, the installation may not proceed exactly as described below and some required responses may be slightly different. If you have any questions or problems call PdMA Technical Support at 813-621-6463 ext. 251.

 

  1. Copy the CALVALUE.TXT and EmaxCal.mdb from your WinVisn directory to a safe location. Also copy the srvis3.mdb (network) or vis3.mdb, which may be located somewhere other than your WinVisn directory file, to a safe location. Depending upon your version of WinVis, you may or may not have all of these files.
  2. Close all open programs before beginning the update.
  3. Click the WinVis 5.0 Build 152  button located at the bottom of these instructions.
  4. In the File Download window, click Save.
  5. In the Save As window, select a location to save the WinVis_Update_152.exe file.
  6. Click Save. The file downloads automatically.
  7. In the Download Complete window, click Open.
  8. The InstallShield wizard window appears, click Next.
  9. The Remove Installation files window appears with the default option selected to unpack the files and remove them after setup is complete. Click Next.
  10. In the Customer Information window, enter your name and organization and click Next.
  11. The InstallShield wizard window appears, click Next.
  12. In the Destination Folder window, use the default location for installation or select an alternate location by clicking Change. When the desired location is displayed in the window, click Next.
  13. The file will install automatically to update your WinVis software.

NOTE: If you have previously completed web updates, you may receive a message that WinVis 5.0.msi already exists. Answer Yes.

  1. Click Finish to close the installer.
  2. Follow on screen prompts to restart your computer and update the settings.
