The best way to get your test results to PdMA for review and analysis is to use the "Send" or "Create File" feature in WinVis and email the data file to us.

To create the file:

In the Plant Layout highlight one or more motors. Click the "Create File" button (this is a "Send" button on older versions of the WinVis software). A "Save Data" window opens. Specify where to save the file and the file name. The default name of the file is Send. PdMA; you can leave the default name or change it. It is very important to remember where you saved the file.

Click "Save" to create the file. You will see a "Send Motor" window, a statement saying, "downloading motor <motor name>," and a progress bar. When the data has been copied from the WinVis database to the file, you'll see a "Send File Successfully Created" window, the path name for the file (where it is saved), an OK button, and a statement telling you to send this file to PdMA. You are now ready to send the file to PdMA. At this point the file has been created, but it has not been sent to us. You must email the file to PdMA.

To send the file:

Under most conditions, you should be able to attach the file to an email and email it to techsupport@pdma.com. Please include in the body of the email your name, company, phone number, what you think the data means, and how you would like a response (email, phone, etc.).

If the file is too big to go through your firewall or through your ISP (Internet service provider), you can copy it to our FTP site. A FTP site is a hard drive on a server computer in our office. It has a URL (universal resource locator) address and requires a user name and password for you to access it. To do this you will need Internet access and the ability to access ftp sites. Contact us and we will give you a user name and password. Then you can copy your file directly from your hard drive to ours using Windows Explorer, much like you'd copy a file for your C drive to your LAN drive.
