Introduction to MCEMAX™ Course Format

Day 1
Classroom lecture/discussion on offline (de-energized) Motor Circuit Evaluation (MCE™) using the six Fault Zones. At the end of the day the students will operate the tester to perform each of the MCE™ test: Standard Test, Rotor Influence Check (RIC), Polarization Index, and Step Voltage.

Day 2
Continue the hands on practice for MCE™ testing on de-energized equipment if needed. After the practice there is classroom lecture/discussion on the use of the EMAX to perform Current Signature Analysis (CSA) and Power Quality sampling.  Results from these tests are also applied to analysis utilizing the six Fault Zones.

Day 3
This day is dedicated to online EMAX testing in the field. Additional MCE™ testing may also be performed depending on the student’s request. At the end of the day the class returns to the classroom for a final review/written exam (if required) of multiple-choice questions and to complete student feedback questionnaires.

Note:When the course is conducted at the customer's facility this format can be altered per their request.
